Stash and stuff

LOOK at this beautiful fabric! A very good friend, Karen, told me she would send me some wonderful purple fabric since I was whining that purple is my most fav color and I hardly have any! What's up with that? You would think that would be all I buy lol. I love the purple fuzzy stuff on the right....it is SO soft, very very soft. I mean REALLY soft!

This is a bad picture but Karen surprised me even more with these extra's she added. That ric rac is purple and fuzzy! Very cool! The buttons are purple, pink and pretty shiny heart and awesome ribbons and a milk bottle cap! We had been talking about making pin cushions using bottle caps so she sent me one! Thank you Karen!

Another good friend, Eileene, sent me this wonderful mix of BUTTONS! And the ribbons! What a surprise! Such a great mix of buttons too. Thank you so much Eileene!

Now this is a real treasure. While my wonderful husband was in Phoenix helping take care of his mother, he noticed a bead shop near by and offered to go there and pick up some beads for me. He wanted to get me something Arizona-ish. The turquiose was too expensive but this magnesite is close enough for me lol. The store has a website so I got on the computer to see what they had. It was too hard to explain beads and buttons to him so I would take a picture of what was on the computer screen and send it by phone, he would show the clerk and walaa, this is what he brought home for me. He is certainly a keeper. ;)

We woke up with more snow this morning and it has been snowing most of the day. This picture is from one of our kitchen windows. If you click on the picture, you can see a robin in the tree. The blur in the middle of the picture is some poor birds feathers! Not sure how they lost their way but they ended up slamming into the window and left a little something behind!

We are expecting more snow throughout the night and tomorrow. That is ok, in the Yahoo group StitchMap that I belong to, we were issued a challange today to keep us busy!

Stay tuned until tomorrow to see the results of this challange!

  1. You are so welcome. I am glad you are enjoying! I think hubby brought you some gorgeous beads! I have been in that store !! I probably still have beads from there as I am not very good about using beads. Enjoy your snow and the snow painting!!! Big Hugs!
